I am sick unto death of seeing nearly everything around me either up for public auction or having a last hurrah 'going out of business NOW' sale.

This is everything from restaurants to bookstores.

Then I come on here and see case after very believable case of valid-need fundraising.

So sick of this.

Me too. The downtown on our small suburb is littered with empty storefronts.
