When somebody reminds you strongly that your late husband is indeed, LATE and not here anymore...

...and you're the only one who knows why this is a Bad Thing...

It's probably a good reason why you've got a lot of free-floating FURIOUS going on.

...

Dammit. I miss him.

You would too, if you knew why.

Carry on, nothing to see here.

Honestly, some people...

...even when a *bad* marriage ends, whether by divorce or death, there are still aspects worth grieving - a *good* marriage has to be an incredible loss (and only the two people in the marriage have any right to judge where their relationship is on the spectrum.) To put it another way, if a person hasn't BTDT, they should just STFU.

So - I hear you. And, yeah, furious is about right.

*heh* I've learned when I can actually talk about this, and this was not one of those times.

I can ruin a completely perfect day and don't I know it.

It...just makes me angry, and I have to accept this is my grief when it makes itself known.

It's important to me != it's important to anyone else.

Thanks. I just wish this didn't do the stealth thing on me.

It's a part of you. An intimate and powerful part. It always will be.

Your healing is that you are where you are and it's now wired into you differently than it was when it was new. But there will always be flashes. You can't live with someone like that without there being.

And that's OK.

*hugs*

I hear you. Yesterday was 7 years since Charlie died and I still miss him every day. The sad thing is no one else really remembers him or why he was so wonderful.

See, that's just it. Nobody was being mean or nasty - just talking and telling jokes...and if I had tried to explain why this was that important, it wouldn't have registered.

They didn't know him. And the more time passes, the fewer people are around who did. And the more people are around who find me annoying for trying to remedy that by...talking about it.

One just learns not to say anything at all.
