Talked to Cedric today - if you hadn't guessed, his father did pass last Friday. He was 81, diabetic and a heavy smoker. It was time.

However, I think I've acquired a bit more aplomb that that -

But I did ask the question. THE question.

"Is there anything I can do?"

Right.


So now I'm calling his mother. And try to impart to someone twice my age what I've learned by being a widow.

*sighs* I am just not old enough to be doing this. I swear it.

And damn if I'm not good at it. Fuck me.

I know *exactly* how you feel. I found myself a widow at 42. Good luck, Donna, and if you want to talk to another young-ish widow, I'm here.

You have traveled the path and part of your journey and healing is showing those following where they need to put their feet so that they don't slip. You are good because you NEED to be good at this, its one of the few truly important things within a life. Big hugs...
