kyburgJust got reminded that this Sunday, our little religious social club is voting to become an Open & Affirming congregation.
We would be the first, the VERY first - and only one of its kind - in a 100 mile radius.
Services are at 9:30 AM. Meeting is at 10:30. You're welcome to attend.
It should pass. It has to pass. It MUST pass. Move forward, or die.

Date: 2011-11-11 07:06 pm (UTC)the UCC i attend (not as often as i mean to) is ONA, which is especially awesome to me because it's full of old white people. the (interim) pastor is a bald-headed black lesbian who runs around hugging people.
i was pretty excited to find a place where god hangs out that isn't full of people telling me i am going to hell for being me.
