BIL called me - unusual in itself.

Confirmed everything I suspected...and worse. Even down to the financials.

*SIGH*

This...is going to be extraordinarily messy. Forget how much it's going to hurt, and how many.

A simple divorce would be bad enough. This...isn't simple. Trust me on that, and I'll do my best not to go into the gory details if I can avoid it.

I'm kinda used to that, by now.

I went through what your BIL is going through. It cost me over $81,000. I'm still recovering from that divorce (financially, my 401K was totally wiped out). In my case my ex was just greedy enough that we sold the house before we made it to court and therefore it was not part of the divorce. She did get a new car (paid for) and she lived for almost two years in a house I was paying for. Not good in any way.
