kyburgMy take on the results of last night's elections:
Somewhere, a lot of people don't agree with me. I'd better be willing to listen very carefully, because obviously, I'm missing something. And if I want people to listen to me, I'd better be willing to listen to them.
Epithets are now off-limits. Other people can use them, but I'd better not. And if I wish to discuss something, I'd better have my facts in orders and be prepared to display them. People must be very frightened to ignore their checkbooks like they did. I will need to be more intelligent and grounded in every confrontation. I will be prepared.
Tolerance. If I want it, I must be willing to have it, and teach it.
I've bought a copy of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and can refer to both documents on the spot.
I will have patience. I will not play the blame game. I will survive and persevere.
Getting angry solves nothing. Nothing at all.
