It has to say something about who I am when the word count in the comments I leave in other people's journals exceeds the word count of what I put in my own. It has to. Whether it is complimentary or not, don't have a clue.

It just doesn't seem right to keep my mouth shut when I see people running off the edge due to nothing more than ignorance. Sheesh, you don't have to do that, I did it and you won't dig it at all - here, do this instead.

And if that's meddling, fuck me and get it over with. I was there, I learned something - and if I can spare you the costs incurred, you can have the EXP points for free. Here. I got a bunch of them.

It will be so nice to be able to sit down and write again. The story that brought Jim and I together is now three years in the making, is no closer to completion than it was when I began at Skechers (and that's entirely due to doubling my commute, I've come to realize) - but the characters have begun to wake again and want me to start writing down what they tell me again. It's nice.

However, it does spark some interesting conversations with Jim - the kind that makes one blush, but we both do it so it's okay. I'm looking forward to writing the nasty bits, folks! Likely tried-and-true Ranma 1/2 nasty bits, but I get my chance at it and isn't that the heart and soul of fan fic anyway? My turn!

Yanno, I love Cowboy Bebop...but I loved Ranma 1/2 too. I'm sorry. We all know how much suck I can tolerate. I have two Machamps in my Pokemon Sapphire game now, one male and one female...Ranma and Akane, and no, you don't play one without the other - they have complimentary skill sets but don't kick nearly as much ass without the other one being there. I'm such a geek.

SBC actually got the six pair drop to the demarc today without me being there. Go Tech #411 - you rock.

We bought much house stuff last night, but I have one more trip to Home Depot to go - need a doorbell button for the outside of the house. And an in-line water filter for the icemaker on the freezer.

I'm also going to want a new filing cabinet - maybe a two-drawer horizontal instead of the four-drawer vertical.

The birds have food, the dog has food, the ants have bait traps and life is thus good.

[livejournal.com profile] ceolyn - I found out DeVry teaches EDI if you want to expand your skill set - I more than doubled my earning capacity when I added the EDI block onto my resume. It's banal, it's anal...but it requires a quick mind and attention to detail, not to mention a nose for The Next Step. You'd do well in this field, but I've said that. Good luck on the interviews today!

Why [livejournal.com profile] snackpants hasn't landed the job of his dreams eludes me. He has a kickass resume. What gives?

And in case anyone is wondering, I haven't changed my mind. Being greedy isn't being conservative; being a conservationist isn't being liberal. And Senator Byrd should run for President...or should BE President.

November 6, 2004 - Take Back Our Country Day. Damn, I need to get us registered to vote!
