Jun. 30th, 2003 10:46 pmI now have enough bandwidth to download video files. Big ones. Bwahahaha.
Disk space a little bit of a problem, but can be overcome.
Try to view them. I prefer Media Player, well - because. At home, I am at the mercy of Windows98. Nothing in the house is big enough to run anything newer.
Media Player chokes on them. No problem, I'll just upgrade it - add codecs, all should be fine...wait a minute.
The newest version of Media Player for Win98 requires a processor capable of over 233Mhz -
As a minimum. It prefers something over 500.
This is a Pentium Pro 200Mhz machine. To date, it has run everything I could ask for without being able to do anything graphic intensive - which would require a much bigger machine all around. And more hardware.
I have the highest version of Media Player this machine will run. And it doesn't work.
*bangs head against wall*
If anyone has any suggestions as to why an .avi file plays like a slideshow with perfect audio, let me know.
And Buddy Hackett is now gone. Aw, crap.
