I can't say that this photo really does it justice. It's bigger than it looks, the front door has this gawdawful security screen door that I will happily replace with something attractive and it opens up to a wonderfully airy living room-dining area that you can see into the kitchen front room...and the backyard is HOOGE. With guest house (shhh!) - one bedroom with kitchen and bath. I might turn it into a Japanese bath house. *nods*

The sparrows LOVE it. The lady of the house currently keeps budgies on the porch.

And there are calla lilies blooming in the front yard.

This is our first try without being contingent on the escrow closing on the old house. Cross fingers!

*sigh* As I said, the photo isn't the best. The fence is actually more a dark redwood-brown color. The same as the trim on the house, and the base color is more of a faux-adobe brown/gold. Earth tones. I don't know that I'll change the outdoor color scheme much.
