Well, it looks like they've found the WOMD. It's not confirmed yet, but who needs that?

Somehow, this is better. Don't ask me why -

Maybe because this means this nightmare is just about over.

EDIT: They're pesticides. Bah.

They're still testing the drums, but the word on the street is that about 20 missiles have been found with warheads that might contain chemicals, although they don't know yet (it's not a good idea to just take a warhead apart to see what's inside, even if it doesn't have chemicals in it).

Unless a boatload more chemical/biological weapons turn up, though, the question will have to be asked- what about the vaunted intel that was saying we knew Iraq had these weapons? 20 warheads is hardly enough to go to this kind of trouble over, especially because the UN inspection teams could have relieved Iraq of those in about a week without killing anyone.

Then why didn't they?

A damn fine question. Why don't you ask the Bush Administration (http://www.whitehouse.gov), who sold this war to an unthinking populace on the premise that Iraq was a threat because of its WMD, while claiming that those WMD existed, simultaneously not giving the UN any data on those alleged WMD?

Maybe because they didn't know for sure where these WMD were or even if they existed? Are 20 missiles (that haven't as of the time of this writing been demonstrated to have chemical warheads) worth the death of thousands of Iraqis and (currently, maybe thousands) of Americans?

Who is that man behind the curtain?
