Phone calls -

kyburgCliff's Dad called - returning calls I've been placing for a couple of weeks. He's been on travel - he's back with JPL working on nuclear power systems again.
Like he could retire - tsch!
But the possibility that I could see him soon just jumped up a peg - he spends a week at a time at JPL in Pasadena, and with just a little luck I could find a supper to have with him again.
I've missed him. He and Mom, both.
And it doesn't seem strange at all - we have a history, they and I. We've been family - and I guess we still are. I've been able to tell them about the piano - and they are as excited and surprised as I am. Mom bought that piano with the green paint already on it - just a little bit more information than I had before.
I've asked them to come down for Thanksgiving, Christmas - I hope they come down at least one of those holidays. They have a daughter with two children to come see, I'm hoping they'll make the trip for that reason if no other - and come see me in my house while they're at it.
They were Cliff's parents; and they are still my in-laws. And I am so glad Dad called back. It's all good. REALLY good.
