silverkun, what were the terms of the wager again? If you think I *might* get into town for less than $150 a night for Fanime, that's completely unrealistic, let alone on site. That's the Westin or the Hilton, and they both want blood and my firstborn. I'm fairly confident I can find something close by - but was the figure $90 a night or $80 a night? And what were the stakes?
Train (leaving Thursday and returning Monday) is $198.00. Southwurst is $193.00. One of the two bellyup airlines is $101 (yeah, sure. fat chance...I ain't stupid) - all out of LAX. VERY strange. I'm too used to flying out of Ontario - doing everything out of LAX almost sounds decadent. And dangerous. I should check Long Beach, just on general purposes.
Gah, Santa Clara looks stupidly expensive.
