Help me out with this - everyone is going apeshit over Bush acting like Hitler.

Could it be he's being more like Napoleon?

Doubt anyone every considered this. I think it deserves some research - if you can dig up anything next trip to the library, let me know.

I'm actually irked over the common over usage of Hitler comparisons. My husbands friends from college have parents that survived Auschwitz, how in the hell can anyone make light chat with those people who have lived hell...

When society starts to take the hidious monsters and make them mundane is when we increase the chances of history getting to repeat.

I don't think Hitler or Mussolini are apt comparisons. They were psychopaths. Bush is an egomaniac. Napoleon, perhaps - wanting more, more and more power.

Without even doing any research beyond the vague trivias and histories I know offhand... I'd say more like Napoleon.

I too am sooo sick of the Hitler comparisons. While I strongly dislike Dubya, he's nowhere NEAR that cruel loony yet.

I don't see the comparison between Bush and Hitler. If I recall, Hitler help the German nation greatly in revitolizing the economy, greating jobs and improved the lives of most Germans in the nation... Bush hasn't done that. I believe the comparison between Bush and Napoleon is more appropiate.
