Lotsa News
Apr. 17th, 2003 02:08 pmOne, I got a call last night from the lending officer.
We're funded. At the levels we wanted. *whew*
Barring Acts of God (and yes, I have been the recipient of these in the past), we'll close escrow all in good time.
We're back to getting an professional home inspection next week.
1 itty-bitty bottle of Jager consumed; 29 more to go.
You know there's something besides rabid lust between you and your loved one when conversations like this are heard in bed:
"I'm sending you a nugget with that vulpix. What are you sending me?"
"Another egg."
"Another one?! Sheesh - I'm getting the short end of this deal!"
"Hey, those zigzagaroons multiply like rabbits - they evolve up really nice, though."
Yes, we're playing Pokemon. In bed. He's got the Ruby version, I've got Sapphire. It's keeping some sanity around the place.
On the music front -
I finally got my copy of Da Vinci's Notebook "Life & Times of Mike Fanning."
silverkun and
ceolyn treated me to their copy while we were driving into Berkeley (nothing better) - and once I heard their stuff, totally hooked.
I have a taste for the odd novelty record. We all know my tolerance for suck, as well.
Then add a band with dynamite production values and harmonies so tight you couldn't get a knife edge between. An equally keen sense of satire.
Here are three tracks - self-explanatory titles, no less.
Heh.
Yeehaw.
Racist. Funny as hell, too.
You want The Life and Times of Mike Fanning too? Please...be my guest!
