SARS - well, maybe not
May. 3rd, 2003 07:25 amI work in a department that has a lively sense of humor -
I also work in a department that's been on 24/7 alert with a new retail system being developed and it went live in the first store this week. Which means, all my programmers and developers have been in close proximity under stress, for weeks.
This Friday, they all came down sick with a cold bug that makes them sound absolutely miserable.
Yellow police tape went up across their cubicles with SARS warnings on them. "CAUTION: WET SINUS" tags. Etc.
Some folks actually got squicked and RAN. Get real. However, two guys were down Friday and guess what -
*snarfle* Yup, I got it too. Hopefully, by Monday, I won't be OOO. But I can already tell Jim when he wakes up - you ain't working Sunday night, dear. You might as well call in now.
And we have to be at the house this morning at 10:00 for stuff.
Press on, press on, press on....*snort*
