Wow. That is some amazing stuff!

My first thought while reading it was that I would like to see Neil Gaiman write a novel or a comic or a movie set in the world of these children...

that is fabulous... i always thought it'd be incredible to be a folklorist... what kind of degree do you think that takes?

I read through the story and it just broke my heart. These kids need something to believe in are creating what they need when their parents can't supply it.

Why does this feel so familiar...

Why do I go back to my own childhood where my father couldn't supply what I needed. And forced me to lock myself so far away it took the better part of a decade before I would let anyone close enough to me to let myself be hurt.

I created in my own mind what I felt I needed. That's what these kids are doing. That's why I want to cry. It hurts to think about what they are all facing and the bleak future they are facing.

I write about Guardians who keep things running smoothly. I think we could sure use a few dozen about now.
