Yanno, I should know better than to invite my sister to anything.
I invited her and her family to the Family Picnic at SKX - it started Saturday at noon. She bailed at 1:30 after not showing up. Were I do to that, I'd be disowned.
So it goes.
Unpacking the house is daunting - Jim's putting in overtime to help pay for it all, but right now, misery wants company. HIS company. Feh.
Next weekend is Fanime. W00t. Anyone going, raise your hands -
I have to find someone who will come over and check on things while we are gone. And find something for dinner.
Maybe I'll go buy trash cans instead.
What a weekend. Whoo-hoo.

Date: 2003-06-16 12:47 pm (UTC)I don't have to worry about my siblings showing up to anything I throw - none of them live in California, anymore. I just get all weird about my friends who say they'll show up and don't - I generally worry that they had some sort of accident or something, and can't call and let anyone know or got abducted by aliens (Hey, these are my friends, after all... I wouldn't be surprised!).
Still, it's good that you at least invited your sister. Stay to the high road. Let her own karma kick her ass.
