This is cuter than anything else on the news today. Honest. Mean it.

Congress to debate patient's fate. Again. Wait a minute, is this the same bunch of folks who decided this patient on life support should die? Oh, this patient was on a vent - that's different. Oh, and this was under existing legislation - a judge now can decide whether or not a patient lives on life support, over the wishes of next of kin.

And probably was on public assistance, to boot. Nah. Not the same at all.

Don't ask me to be surprised at the two-facedness of it all. Just, don't. It sickens me.

Just in case you forgot, here's a lovely story of a baby that went home from the hospital on a vent - and is now 24 years old. It can be done, it is being done, and it was done - LONG AGO.

Oh gee, California. Silly me.

I want to see how they plan to approach this - if they want to take the authority of making decisions away from a surviving spouse, they have to dismantle marriage as the institution it is. That's far more dangerous than marrying Adam and Steve, in my opinion. Go ahead - go play RIGHT into the hands of the 'homosexual agenda' (rolls eyes) - destroy the authority of a husband over his wife. Ignore the biblical references to people leaving their parent's homes in marriage, to form their own families. Go ahead. You don't like the outcome in this case, so toss everything out you don't like so you can have it your way.

(I'm waiting to hear someone remind these folks that some of those references are specific to a wife submitting to her husband, and he being the head of the home as Christ is the head of the church. They'd flip. They'd squeal. And then they'll insist that someone outside the union divorce them by force. Or some such rot.)
