Okay, guys. When you can be so eloquent without being prodded, let me know.

The word counts on the essays for 9/11/02 are incredible.

I'll write you something when it's no longer trendy and niffy spiffy to do so. I'm getting buried alive here.

Well, no screaming matches today. Allstate left a message on my voicemail advising me that the case isn't closed and that they are looking into other ways to resolve the issue. I did say I loved Allstate.

In the meantime, the HOA is going to consult their lawyer and their insurance rep. I asked for a reaasonable time frame to hear a response. Fran said two weeks. I'll hold her to it and try to give her the space. In the meantime, I've signed up for pre-paid legal services (you can too, click here) and trying to reground and get ready to do battle.

I will be in touch with them to give them what I have; if they are worth their salt, they'll take it from there. In the meantime, I'm going to continue work to get the house on the market, sell and move. Even a lien against the property itself (which would involve a lawsuit) can't prevent it -- the liens would be settled by the sale of the propery, we would just be out the cash. Which would be recovered in a lawsuit against the HOA, the guy who broke the pipe, etc.

Oh, glory days of the legal system.

Jim called about 11:00 AM - everyone on the night shift is sick. Go figure. He slept on the way to work this morning, after I chased him to bed at 9:00 and made him go like the big bad lady I am. We got up late to boot. Need I say he's sick too?

I compromised. He'll work until 8:00 tonight. That puts us home after 9:00 PM. Suckage.

Cast Iron Suck is when you leave the laptop you do your writing on at work because you know you won't have time overnight to boot it up and write anything. Cast Iron w/24K Gold Suck is the next morning when you realize you weren't feeling sorry for yourself.

However, nobody has made the Death List today. I guess that's something.

I promise, the Tit Envy post is coming. I think the Why Apologies Should Not Be Overused post will be first.

Hawaii is less than 60 days away.
