I can't help it.

Jim and I saw "Sprited Away" last night - got home wide awake and bushy-tailed at 10:30 PM after working all day. It's Ghibli, so it's gorgeous...but I was struck so hard by the layers of storytelling, I'm still blinking. Non-linear as all giddy hell. LOTS of characters. And it works...so well.

(BTW, [livejournal.com profile] azuli? You ought to go see this for one reason only - watch how your best friend and strongest ally turns into a total jerk monster-from-hell when he swallows too much crap...no, go on. Go see it. You'll get it, trust me.)

But the amv idea? The opening music for Kare Kano is running through my head and I can't shake it.

Derivative...oh, so derivative....

"Oh look - Donna got fortune cookies from Singapore!"

Roo? Every time I get something at work, the boss decides it's food. I don't know where he got that idea, but everything...even boxes clearly labeled Amazon.com...are food.

But Singapore?

I wasn't expecting...oh. *big grin* Oh, I know what this is!

It's care package rebuttal time. [livejournal.com profile] amizadai has struck.

I was very, very good. I took it home, unopened. Jim saw the box and took immediate custody. Then we opened it.

Oh, she does magnificent care packages. I loved everything in it. Lanterns, crackers, games, a wonderful little box...and a CD full of videos. Yowser!!

I'll be busy for a while. The Pucca bits are just wonderful. OH THANK YOU!!!

Now, for my next trick...Hawaii in two weeks. Be afraid.

Some of this might sound like sending coals to Newcastle...but Hawaii is just nuts enough to make this interesting.

To be continued....
