I'm a baking fool -
Nov. 23rd, 2008 11:46 amI'm also done.
Banana Bread
Pumpkin Bread
Date Nut Bread
My signature whipped sweet potatoes to finish out at Mom's house
Persimmon Cookies
Best recipe ever Apple Pie
All before lunch, after getting hair done at 8:00 AM this morning.
FEAR ME.
Also - I'm going to admit to a bit of "oh, so THAT's why" this morning. Why so many twerps want a Japanese girlfriend.
Salon was having a fund raiser for Toys For Tots this morning, y'see. All I had to do was bring in a $10 toy - which was no problem, as we'd just been to Toys R US yesterday (got the car seats! W00t!).
Hideo did me. Folks, I want a Japanese hairdresser. I look GREAT. Rey, you'd have appreciated the way this guy also worked pressure points, scalpwise while I was getting shampooed.
OH MY. All this for a game of Battleship. Once a year, guys - but that's been the luck this weekend. What am I talking about?
I FOUND MY HUTCH. I needed one desperately to get the teapot collection stored safely, and have been looking for one since April. They were all 1) ugly and 2) a grand or more.
Found one for $225 - and a tricycle for $20. So we were able to get the carseats as well.
I'll try to get pictures up after Thanksgiving when I take all the photos off the camera.
(Oh, so I *also* had to empty the bookcase with the cookbooks in it to move it across the room - that's on top of doing the shopping yesterday at the famer's market, then the market market...productive bird is productive.)
They say Rat people make things happen. Well, yeah.
Now? Now, I Sim. I've earned it.
(And do couple of loads of laundry and finish up the crockpock beef for dinner tonight.)
