Rock and Roll
Sep. 16th, 2009 03:06 pmThere's a pot roast waiting for me to walk in the door and devour it tonight. Also, too much turkey, but I think I may have an idea of what to make with it for dinner tomorrow. Good thing I luuuurve turkey.
I so have a four year old - if I had any question of it, right? Most recent development is absolute heartbroken-ness if he 'doesn't do it myself first.'
Like, see the motorcycle on our way to preschool. Or the Doritos trucks (I think we're near a DC for Frito-Lay at home, we can catch up to six panel vans emblazoned with SNACKS driving to the freeway, getting gas, etc.), or the buses...you name it. I'm having to explain that it's not a problem not to be first, or to do it all yourself and if you see something, let me know and if I see something, I'll let you know. I get pouty faces, but not the total meltdowns Jim has gotten. Then again, I think he knows I'd hug him out of one if he tried it.
Jim's had a migraine waking every morning this week. No. Fun.
And I'm still breeding Sims.
I've got the continuing urge to shotgun through Escaflowne - but I'm refraining.
Starting to use Rudder and the intial results say that my suspicions were correct - our house payment is still only a 1/3 of our total outlay, and the parts of our budget that we can reduce, we are and can still improve on. (Jim was taking he and kid out to McDonalds for lunch, sometimes lunch AND dinner the first couple of weeks we were back home...now, not so much. And it shows.) So - win!
Will start backloading some of the bills when I get home. If I remember. One of the things that definitely happens when I get home is the total offloading of short-term memory and onloading 'whee! kid! yay!' Until he goes to sleep and then I can't remember anything. ^^
*snaps fingers* I gotta remember to email BIL about that pumpkin. Damn! See ya tomorrow -
