Well, halfway there I guess.

Still coughing too much.

And now listening to really lame Barry Manilow album cuts - problem is, that makes it pretty difficult to sit in my chair quietly. There's *always* something not quite hip about Barry Manilow, but damn if I don't have everything (except the foreign language stuff) because I'm never completed bored or disappointed. It's like ignoring the insipid dressing on your favorite salad.

Oh heck, dial up the 70's - and some 80's for spice - for me. I'm going to be asking them to play CCR when I'm senile in a home somewhere someday - just you watch.

I have half the day off Friday. Should I tell the boys?

I'm also looking forward to Sunday, because then I can start working on eating all the hard-boiled eggs with a clear conscience, every way I can think of. Tonight, we color them. I think dinner is going to be soup and grilled cheese - just to get it out of the way in time.

I've got books coming - and likely, books leaving the house as soon as I finish with them. I've got a teenage niece to corrupt.

For your wee one? I have a recommendation - buy the 'Don't Let The Pigeon - ' series. I've bought the 'Don't Let The Pigeon Drive The Bus' and 'Don't Let The Pigeon Stay Up Late' - they arrived, we read them last night and kid was a passle of giggles then, and still laughing this morning and re-playing books on the way to school. (Methinks the pigeon is going to be told not to ride the dragon soon, but that's just me.)

Kid has also discovered the concept of gender - as in, who is what - and he's working like hell to give me the pink jetpack, only I won't take it. I want the red one. He thinks this is hysterically funny. A girl who doesn't want a pink jetpack. YUP.

Oh, little man, I have plans for you. Believe it. Yes, you who wants your hair spiked Just So every morning. I have a wee little Rooster, folks - some days, it's easier to tell than others.

I have incomplete sets of Inyu-Yasha and Yu-Yu Hakusho. Should I try to finish them off? Erg. They're expensive popcorn, to be blunt. I also have to think about what the eff I'm going to do about the entire office worth of stuff I have to displace to convert that room into a bedroom for kid #2 within two years. Looks like slimpacks are coming to my DVD collection, yessir! Something.

Thus goes my day.
