I heard about that last night on Coast to Coast AM.
Hey, I can usually tell what my critters want, food, water, lovin', a clean litter box, a treat... I don't need to spend 75 bucks. :-)

Back when I was in MA, a player in my old DnD group had 6 cats (one that lived to the ripe old age of 19!) and now and then, I would do the "Vulcan mind-meld" with this one cat that would sit on the gaming table. (The cat's name was Rascal E. Phatling)

I would put my head against the cat's head and my hand on the side of the cat's head as close to that Vulcan thingie as I could and then I would recite in monitone

"Feeeeed me... I'm hunnnngrrryyy... paaaaaayyy attennnnntion toooo meeeeee.... pet meeeeeee becausssse I'm soooo adoooorrrable"

and so on.

It got a laugh out of most of my players...
