Monday - *yawn*

kyburgGodzilla finally finished the defrag sometime last night - I'd completely shut down everything, including the screensaver - but having forgotten the power saver...baka. And no, I don't want to optimize to run faster, just find errors, you stupid thing.
So let's see if that helps the hard drive. I *think* it's the smaller of the two in the machine, which would be the 500 MG I put in there to manage the swap file that Win98 makes me keep on the other drive *rolls eyes*. Win95 would let me move the swap file off...but noooo, Win98 was such an improvement. Don't talk to me about the newer OS versions. They all require more hardware, and that's the only change I see from here.
That smaller drive could be 10 years old. If it wants to give it up, it's earned it.
Decided last night that cabin fever is a bad thing and went out to run errands once it got cool enough. Went over to IKEA and got extra hardware and shelves, some food goodies - I bought my Billy shelves almost ten years ago, and I've asked for and gotten extra hardware and shelves each time I've gone back to IKEA, free. Just ask nicely and be willing to be flexible on color. I wuv IKEA.
A trip to Marukai - dinner at Tampopo Ramen, and when I got home, I swept and mopped the kitchen floor, vacuumed and dusted the house. This is after I got all the laundry done. I also made sure there were no dirty dishes in the sink.
Jim gets the yardwork today - and the folding and putting away of the clothes. That's fair. I felt much better going to sleep last night - I keep forgetting. If I don't do anything I like - I'm going to pay for it. Staying home and waiting for something good to come along isn't working. If I need something, I need to go out and get it.
Driving the truck a whole lot isn't an option, though. That is getting in the way, more and more. However, a new car isn't in the cards for another year or more.
Nothing to keep me here this morning - get some breakfast, lunch is already ready for me to take with - welcome to Monday. Hope this week goes better than the last two or three.
