I got 'lucky' enough in that my cats were sorta okay with the possum that landed in our screened porch. Not much in the way of crying.

One of our cats does the same thing. For being so small, she's a territorial little bitch. :)

When she screams, she SCREAMS! As in it wakes us up from a sound sleep when we're two rooms away from her. We usually have to grab her and calm her down (or throw her in the bathroom, away from any windows :( ) so that we don't wake anyone else in the building up or have a complaint filed. :( It's that loud.

Yeah, but I'm the one who spotted the little critter -uh- playing possum in the corner next to the garage.

And that little critter let me flip it over with the end of a broom. I waited and watched as it got up and wandered off... The dog was complaining because she couldn't go out and get it.

Adventure for this afternoon, going to Vet with Spice and Ai-chan to see if they have Ringworm.

We had one in the back yard when I was a kid... dog went wild. My mom opened the back door and flipped on the porch light and there it was, perched on the fence, hissing. She threw a shoe at it, actually hit it and knocked it off the fence. Hilarious!

I lived in a trailer in KY with a possum mom living underneath. EW!!!! It stunk so bad, we thought we had a dead body underneath. The landlord put down some privy lime, but thankfully our lease was nearly up so we were able to move.

I wonder if your dog somehow woke me up at 4am... Oi. I'm trying very hard not to fall asleep at the office.

Now, imagine 5 Irish setters exploding in Must Kill Possum fits at once... and the puppies joining in the mayhem, trying to get out and Get The Possum(s)! Or raccoons, whatever was foraging that night... Heh.
