Fire Update

The sky is orange here. It smells like a campfire no matter where you go. Ashes cover the cars.

We are 60 miles away.

If you are being hit by this fire - please contact me if you need anything. I've had three house fires - two to the ground. I will not think anything you say is scary or strange.

And I think I'll be able to find you a place to sleep, some clothes to go to work in and a couple of books to read.

My question: How do you get the smell of smoke out of stuff?

If it's washable, wash it. If it's beat-able, beat it. If neither, then air it out as best you can, after the smoke is otherwise gone. Dusting, lysol (if you can stand it), scrubbing.

Fresh air does wonders! Plenty of it - in dry sunshine.

Otherwise, da Bahr has the right of it. Wash, dry clean or beat senseless.

I'm reminded of Zazu's remark to Mufasa, with regards on what to do with Scar... "You could always turn him into a rug. And when he gets dirty, you can take him out and beat him..."
