It's Halloween. And raining! Bah - go rain up in Big Bear, ya dumb bunnies!

I had Jim bring home a set of scrubs from the hospital. How easy could that be? I'll be in costume -AND- comfortable.

It also means I have to put my hair up. I think I have some bobby pins. This is going to be interesting.

We have enough on payday to pay what's outstanding with very little left over. Think gas for the cars over - that's it.

[livejournal.com profile] llamajoy has posted a Kingdom Hearts Halloween ficlet - ghad, I love her stuff. Either she or her partner, [livejournal.com profile] tenshi_no_korin. It's like getting a present.

I have my books ready for trick or treaters tonight (not a lot of them, but I have no idea what to expect) - and Google today is just too cute.

Tomorrow is our second wedding anniversary.

Some dumbass thinks all these fires are the work of Al Quaeda - *rolls eyes* - whatever. Gimme a break. It's someone who hates Republicans, that's for sure. [livejournal.com profile] julesong is in Texas and says they have some of our smoke there - yeah, that's the work of terrorists.

I needed protection from pr0n?

I'm downloading .avi files I have no chance of hell of seeing until the new computer gets here.

Albertsons is running buy-one-get-one-free and free turkey ads. Ralphs has 4lbs of Gala Apples for a buck. Time to send more faxes - uh, it's the STRIKE, stupid.

I could go my whole life without stepping into another Albertsons or Ralphs. I really could. Hate them. Hiss.

[livejournal.com profile] joggingguy, the house next door is for sale. Be my neighbor. Please.

Gotta go braid hair now. Bye.

The parking lots at the stores I pass on my way to work are empty -

Rude? I remember listening to my friend Terri, who worked for Finast in Cleveland for a long spell - the abuse she took off customers was incredible. Her reward for three years service? Her drawer was off $4 one day and she was fired on the spot.

There is no excuse for abuse - and it's not nice when it happens to you - but if you consider the source, no surprise there.

I just fielded a call from an irate customer and after researching the problem, found it entirely out of my purview to resolve. That doesn't mean I get mean and cranky. But if that's the kind of call I got, one after another, for 12 hours a day - I'd not be fit for human consumption either.

Hon, there are a lot of people out there who never get past high school, intelligence-wise. And I have no problem paying them a decent wage so they (or their kids) don't turn to something else to survive our economy, You don't get rich working grocery - but you don't go broke, either.
