Read this this morning and just about cried. No, it's isn't hard to believe at all. Old people need families as much as little kids do - all the "adult community" bullshit to the contrary. I grew up in a place where 90-year-olds were the people ahead of me in line at the grocery store. 70 & 80 year-olds ran the cash registers.
And I so thoroughly enjoy people twenty years younger than me, it's scary.
In your nineties, living in a Motel 6 with nothing to look forward to but more of the same. Fucking hell - well, isn't it just?
Crap. I'm in a foul mood.
Called the mortgage company this morning to see about getting pre-qualified and discovered three new ways to get pissed off.
Sis called and left a message over the weekend, albeit a bit sheepish, about getting together for a kids birthday BBQ on the 3rd. Or was it the 13th? Ya got me. I've left two messages on voicemail and nobody has called back. SNAFU as usual. *sigh*
And the bank thinks returning checks before receiving deposits is a nifty batch process order for night jobs. *snrgg*
Bought a bunch of DVDs and have no time to watch them. Managed to get a short stack of boxes over to storage last night and you'd think it was the mountain coming to Mohammed, the effort it took to pull that off. Sheesh.
If I can convince the HOA to provide me with a list of the damages they've had to incur on the house, I'll be able to get them money for them. But do you think they'd cooperate? Hahahahaha....idiots.
And don't get me started on my laptop. Needed to use it this week for work and I would have had more fun throwing it ala shot put.
