kyburgMcChicken Sandwich with fries from McDonalds is wonderful when fresh and crispy piping hot. You get lucky in that drive-through, you score. And so I did, today.
Also, I got a nice surprise in the mail yesterday. A check. A check for back wages as result of a lawsuit filed on my behalf by coworkers at the airport shuttle company I worked for in 1996. Against our employer. For short-paying us.
hellayeah. I like checks like this one. I remember sleeping in vans between runs. And not getting paid. I remember having to buy gas out of what I had "earned" that night. And not getting paid. Waiting. And not getting paid.
It was a good, solid suit. I'll get checks like this for four more years, on and off. This was the second job I took when Cliff was living with his mother in an attempt to keep from filing bankruptcy while he was still alive.
I don't need any more anime, books or food. It's just nice to have more than two dollars in my wallet, neh?

Jim was off yesterday and was working on the house while I was at work. After whining up and down the day before about how I couldn't find my ass with both hands...watch it...I was less than sympathetic when Jim imparted much the same to me when I saw him last night.
However, I was looking for computer cables. He? Clean underwear. Pardon me while I fall over laughing.
He didn't think it was as amusing...but pardon me while I finish snorting.
We went to Target and fixed it last night. The underwear. The computer cables are likely in the same box with the original clean underwear. Somewhere.
Eek. Orp. Ah-ah.
