Amazon has found out that I've been ordering stuff for myself using the Associates link on my own web pages. Shock! Lessee, it took them....four years? Wonder how long it will take them to figure out Jim is married to me if I use his profile to make orders and have them ship everything to the PO Box from now on? I wrote them a note back - we'll see.

Doofuses.

The latest and greatest in the political arena is the Great Davis Recall - like he needs to go back to the factory for some kind of repair or something. About the only thing that guy needs is to have his political party designation changed to Idiot. He's also guilty of the same stuff I have objections to with the Republicans in office right now - spending more, budgeting badly and being far too much of a political animal for anyone's comfort level.

What I find most interesting is that this recall didn't go anywhere until someone found the bucks to pay the signature collectors $1 a signature. Yes, folks are that out of work - they'd sell out for $1 a signature. Ran into one of these trolls at the Target the other day. Yes, I'd like to register to vote - I just moved. Think she'd give me the forms? What, and not sign her petition? DENIED. Yup.

And you don't think this state can't find another Democrat to take Davis' place? You don't think they'd want to? Sheesh, we would have taken anyone with a smidgen more integrity than Davis in a heartbeat - but the only choice was Bill Simon, a convicted felon. FRAUD, and that's not easy to convict. Gimme a break.

They think if a recall works, this state will vote for Bush in 2004. Are you nuts?

Of course, if Reardon shows up - along with 30 million dollars to do the recall vote....

Sis wants me to show up for her son's birthday BBQ. Her daughter had a birthday last month - where was her BBQ? Oh, that's right. I showed up to the boy's graduation. My visit for the month was used up then. Silly me. *meow*

Heard from Mom tonight - she's been dealing with an eye issue of her own most of this year. From what she was told, she had suffered a transient vascular block to the macula (kind of a dry macular degeneration). Those tend to resolve with time, but it's very slow. Well, that's what they thought...past tense.

Mom also had cataract surgery some years ago and had a IOL put in. You with me here? You going where I'm going? If you guessed that the lens had slipped - you win!

Two local opthamologists and Sis' whizz-bang retinal specialist didn't find that. (What do you say about me hijacking Mom to see my retinal specialist?) The best part is that they can correct her vision back to 20/25 in that eye - so who cares? The lady is almost 80 - 20/25 and 20/20 in the other. Let's hear it for my Mom -

I'm going to go unpack a box now.
