It's waaaay north of me. But oh, we felt it. Like swaying in a rowboat - almost seasick, like being dizzy.

Cambria used to be a nice little bed & breakfast town, near a whole bunch of oil rigs. More as it develops -

Cambria's famous for its beauty and isolation. I hope it's okay. Some of those lovely old artists' houses won't be. :/

Oh man....

my best friend is there right now spending the holidays with his family. He can't get ahold of them, and their house is built on the side of a hill ;_; He called me while the ground was still shaking. *is massively worried*

We've had breakfast at Wilson's, just down the street from there ... what a mess.

Shake, rattle, and roll

Felt it here too...I just thought I had a bad case of the spindizzies, but then I realized I'd eaten this morning and that was pretty unlikely.

Wow! I'm sure glad you're OK. Keep us posted.

I know where Cambria is. Before I was a Washingtonian, I was a Californian.

Do you know yet if San Simeon took damage?

*covers face* I slept right through it, and I'm like... what.. 20 miles north of you? Santa Monica anyway. But then again, I would have slept through Northridge if my mom wasn't screaming at me to get up. I woke up for the Joshua Tree one, but that was bad, it lasted like... what, a couple minutes? I guess this one was just a little jolt, ne?

Hey, you're coming by on Christmas Eve, aren't you?

I could, but I really wouldn't want to do that to you. It'd be me, maybe my girl Val, and Moshe most likely, but he sort of counts as a pet. The baboon works on Christmas Eve, so that counts him out, however.

My mom's also only doing Christmas Eve dinner this year, so if it was in the early afternoon or evening, I couldn't go. I'd like to finally get to meet you, though, I drive by Hermosa constantly since Val works in Torrance. Do you ever frequent the Torrance Mitsuwa?

We eat there a lot. Is Val working there?

No, she works at PC Mall -- if you ever need anything from there, ask for Valerie Hilgenfeldt. She's good, tehe XD

PC Mall's a block or so away, so she always goes to Mitsuwa. I like eating there, too, but I prefer the one up by me. If you're ever up in our neck of the woods, I'd recommend the chicken cutlet curry. Mmm, the best Japanese style rice I've had outside of a fancy resturant.

Additionally, we'll be hitting up the Del Amo Mall's Alladin's Castle for some DDR, Para Para, Initial D and the like. Anytime you wanna meet up, we're always down to kick it ^_^

You guys have tried the DDR machine down at the Redondo Beach boardwalk arcade, right?

That sounds like fun - maybe we'll have to try it the week between the holidays -

I felt it up here in SF (but I was the only one in my office to notice it!)... it was very subtle, and very sway-ey: your rowboat description is how I felt it, too.

Oh God, I'm glad you're alright!

Did the earthquake hit anywhere near Placentia?
