That's what the Mazda goes.

Two points if you get the reference.

(Boingy-boingy is what the Warner kids go, BTW.)

Yesterday was an exercise in just how much crap we can do in one day -

8:30 - I go to the office, fetch my fish and hit the farmer's market.

by 11:00, I have returned, put everything away and picked up the house to the point of Good, because the older brother of Jim has arrived, with spouse.

House tour. Then lunch - at the Redondo Beach Pier. We do the whole pier and shop for the kids' souvenirs. Mission accomplished - we get back home to get back on the road for Chino by 3:45.

Arrive at Sis' house to pick up sewing machine, and leave before 5:00.

Get to Dave & Busters, find it packed, get fed anyway and try to get back to the Chino Airport for radio club, only to find it closed up for an airshow and where TF is everyone? Get Cedric on the phone to find out that not only is he not at the meeting, the meeting was moved in the AM to someone's house.

We're late. We're going to be later - and screw it.

Jim is whipped, I offer to drive home and half way past Diamond Bar, I realize that the the glare plus my scratched glasses plus fatigue is making it so hard to see the road I'm getting spooked...and the adrenaline at not being able to see where I am going is not helping. I pull off, Jim takes over and I spend the rest of the ride home clutching the seat for dear life because I literally can't see the left side of the road when there are oncoming headlights.

This supremely pisses me off. The glasses are so overdue for replacement, just to get rid of the scratches, let alone the prescription change (I haven't had the same prescription for more than an year since I began wearing glasses at age 6) - okay, okay, enough. Monday I make an appointment. BAH. This sucks.

If I had been alone, I would have pulled off, cleaned the glasses and drove home in the slow lane - and likely slower than the 80 mph Jim was traveling. He goes faster when he's tired - I go slower. Guess who drove airport shuttle?

And never had an accident. *sticks out tongue*

But Jim is tired and wants to get home. We do. We live another day!

Spending the evening driving around the old neighborhood was - interesting. I am still amazed that I lived there so many years and it didn't leave a mark on me, and I didn't leave a mark on it. Past Dave & Busters, there wasn't a single place I had to go, not a person to see - nothing. I go to radio club because of Cedric, and that's it. If it was down the street here in Torrance, it would be easier - but the reason would be the same.

For Jim, it was a different experience. This was a place where he was really, truly, happy.

And today, we're really, truly, tired. I replaced the mouse this morning when it fucked up his game - I've really tried to be a Good Spouse, but the upshot is he has to work tonight and I get to do nothing if I so desire. Eh, I'll finish the laundry.

And what were we going to do next weekend? Oh, whale watching - that's right! *snaps fingers*

Life continues.
