Expect the unexpected -
Aug. 29th, 2004 09:40 pmWent out to the TRW swapmeet yesterday, only to get called by friends arriving at LAX to visit from DC this week - and could they go to Little Tokyo?
An old, old friend has two daughters who just lurve manga and anime. As in, get a three-ring binder and put color printouts in page protector lurve.
I took them to Marukai and almost didn't get them out again.
That was yesterday. Jim is working both nights this weekend - which sucks. In case you didn't know already.
Guess who got to do all the housework again.
I'll give Jim points for cleaning out the cat boxes faster than I can get to them on trash day - but when it comes to the basics, we have to get the laundry done and the flat surfaces dejunked, dusted or in the case of the floors, vacuumed or mopped - at least once a week.
And yes, it's done. Guess who did it.
I have food going bad in the refrigerator because I can't get to it fast enough to put it up. This week looks no better - last class Monday (it's a potluck) and we have to have our dishes ready to go by the time I get home tomorrow night from work - if I get back to work, we've got a doctor's appointment tomorrow too. (I may reschedule, tomorrow is looking nuckyfratz as it is.)
Somehow, I'm going to have to let go of something - or go nuts.
I'll be glad when this home study is done - either they'll pass us or fail us or tell us we need to change something. But I won't be under the gun to keep changing everything around as well as keeping the basics up.
Annoyed. Perpetually annoyed. Not at all fun.
