I'll be happy to be invisible for a few days. Just - not do something so boneheaded stupid as to catch everyone's attention. Just a couple of days.

I can sound incredibly stupid sometimes. Like when I try to explain a data challenge from my point of view. It'll be cake if all the customers comply with it entirely, but my job has always been to shoehorn the customers who don't into line with those who do. I try to explain that and everyone has assumed that the change is complete and complied with entire - and I don't know what I'm talking about. It'll be required. It won't be chalk and cheese.

When it comes to customers and data, I'm the one who finds a way. Not that makes the way.

Chalk, cheese and pepto-bismol.

Still gathering data for the tax return - missing the forms from the student loan payoff, one of the stock sales from last year and the form from the mortgage company for the portion of the year I paid them before we moved. I think after that, we're done. We're not paying - good - but we're not getting the hunk of change I was hoping to have to do the travel we want to do.

Four weeks in Japan just got slashed to one, likely on a tour. I hope I can find one that will allow more than one city.

I talked to the timeshare exchange company and put a request out for a week in Switzerland the last two weeks of August and the first two of September. First thing that opens up, we'll get - by July, if they haven't found anything, we start over. To the good, this gives us a week's lodging with a kitchen to fix meals in for $150. A whole week. To the bad, it will likely be in a ski resort area, waaaaaay off the beaten path and not very close to train stations. I'll cope.

We also want to take the mothers to Hawaii this year. I also have a bunch of people on my friend's list I want to see this year, let alone get back east to see Jim's folks in their native habitat.

Anime conventions - well, maybe one. Likely NOT Anime-Expo.

Oh yeah, I need to replace the truck this year. I am absolutely fooking mad.

Worn thin. Very thin. But not defeated. Somehow, it's going to come together. I will find a way.

The locations they have available are in Morschach, Grindelwald, Davos (PDO), Wengen (PWE), Arosa (PAO), Flims (PSE), Lenzerheide (PVL), and Villars (PVS). The last bunch are Ferienclub facilities -

I've been to Davos, Arosa and Grindelwald - it took a good part of the day just to travel there and back. We don't ski - and likely won't start, no matter how good the conditions. It's cheap housing, but not exactly optimal, if you catch my drift.

But that's where we would be! Cross your fingers - we'll have to get in on a cancellation at this point.
