Oh, and one more thing - don't wait to get your passport until you need one. Really. Just get the damn thing, keep it current and have the gold standard for ID at your fingertips.

Because if you're like unclejimbo and wait until the clock is ticking, it is just no fun at all. Let alone cheap and easy.

Get the passport now. You will need it someday. I guarantee it.

I will likely never need a passport unless I'm fleeing jurisdiction. :) But thanks for the advice!

Ya never know. And it is the gold standard for ID - you don't need two forms if you have that, even for an I-9 form for employment.
