Weekend Excitement!

No, I plan a very plebeian set of days cleaning out the refrigerator, putting up strawberry jam and applesauce, a bit of housecleaning and laundry. Some gardening. Maybe I'll manage to get that rototiller over to the repair shop today. That would be a good task out of the way.
I have some ground screaming to be a garden and I'm answering the call this year, so help me.
My rose bushes have exploded and it's really pretty.
Work had a health fair Thursday (BP, blood sugar check, etc.) - and lo and behold, a free massage! Only five minutes, but it did point up a couple of things.
One, my sore shoulder is coming from a huge knot below my right shoulder blade - the knot is pain-free, but the rest of my back isn't. It's amazing what you live with, neh?
Found some kick-ass feta cheese at the farmer's market yesterday - I picked up on a dish I was served in a greek restaurant in Switzerland that has orzo, lamb, feta cheese in a tomato sauce base that today is one of my favorite comfort foods, when I can find all the ingredients. That, and feta cheese makes a very good omelette filling, too. With a little rosemary.
I've also got enough makings for carrot soup for thousands.
Oh, and that feta cheese? Bought at the same time as the strawberries - left them in the relative coolness of the trunk in the parking garage under the building until I could go home.
Boy. Feta cheese and strawberries sure know how to brink the funk. I'm serious.
And I plan to get lot of naps this weekend and get rid of this cold. It's a nuisance, plain and simple.
Would much rather being driving.
poetpaladin - we really should try to make a trip to the desert for pictures before it's over. I'm told this year's wildflowers are twenty-year epic grade....
