I'm waiting for the washer to finish up -

But something to consider when you hear me talking about marriage.

eHarmony.com wants to talk about matching you up. Jim and I just look at that and shake our heads. Poor kid actually tried a matchmaking service once; the only thing He says about the experience was that the women were "scary."

Scary. Crap, we met writing Ranma 1/2 fan ficton. And he says the dating service was scary.

Yeah, that's how I met Jim. Not in a chat room, not at the market. Not friend of a friend of a friend - when I met him, he was a 6 digit email address at hotmail. That's what he looked like. Not even a clue as to gender.

Match you up...blech. Good grief.

It's a cliche to say it just happens. It also happens to be true.

I am one lucky bitch. That's all I have to say right now.

Yeah, you met them in the damnedest places don't you?

By the way, are you ever gonna send me a mapquest to your place? Or just email me the address at lolleeroberts@aol.com and I'll find it on my handy dandy map.

I'm at the Days Inn at 1108 N. Harbor Blvd in Santa Ana.

Lollee
(still waiting to hear when I should show up on Wednesday.

My wife and I first "met" online writing Rocky Horror song parodies. I didn't know her name/gender until I met her at a convention later.

(Unfortunately, she doesn't like Ranma.)

We'll have our third anniversary later this year - how long have you been married?

Amazing, isn't it?

Our first anniversary will be in May.

Remember, the third anniversary is the monkey anniversary!

Met my husband in a similar way. He ran a gaming letters column, I occasionally sent in e-mail, he replied to an e-mail personally and we started corresponding where the volume of replies got insane (at the tune of half a meg of plain text).

When he moved halfway across the country for grad school, a mere 150 miles away, I joked around about meeting him in Chicago to alleviate the boredom of the college town he moved to. He took me up a couple of months later, and we've been inseparable since. =P

Got it. Yeah 7ish is good. I'll eat anything but tripe and stewed okra. Seriously, I'm trying to watch my fat and calories but I'm very flexible.

Sounds like sushi to me!

(Or just plain Japanese food if the raw stuff sets you off....)
