Antici....pation
Mar. 20th, 2004 12:33 pmWork's done. I lost five hours of my last day running around Beverly Hills getting to the one and only American Express office near me, but I have my traveler's checks and actual yen now - will not have to exchange money right off the bat when I get off the plane. Go me. I'm glad I began to get ready for this trip two weeks ago.
I also have vouchers for my tickets to the Ghibli museum for Thursday. It required a reservation, and so glad I asked in the bookstore last night for directions. Otherwise, I would have missed it entirely.
Monday and Tuesday are travel days. Wednesday is Askakusa, Ueno Park and Akihabara. Thursday, Ghibli Museum. Friday, Imperial Palace/Tokyo Tower and Jim's birthday. Saturday, TAF show. Sunday is Open, Monday is Tokyo Disney and Tuesday is a morning in town, checkout and travel home. That's as much planning as I dare.
I figure I have this post and one tomorrow before I go. After that, I suspect a lot of backdated posts via the Palm - maybe some from any internet cafes we might stumble across. We have no idea.
Jim works tonight - and Sunday night. Yuppers. His choice. The big blue van will be here to pick us up Monday AM at 9:45.
I'm going to go try and find our Japanese schoolbooks this afternoon/evening.
And for your random Tenchi nerdage for the day - the latest Tenchi OVA 3 trailer for episode 15, which airs on the first day of the TAF show. (Windows for high bandwidth.) If you can stand to look at the designs anymore, and can stomach MORE Tenchi after all the crap between now and the first OVA, this actually shows some promise. *Thinks* Gah. Ten years ago. BAH.
silverkun, do you think Jim's going to be able to run out of the observation deck at Tokyo Tower? Bwaaahaahaaaaa.....
