Got the Prius -

Oh my.

It is quiet. Silent. Scary quiet. Like, for a while, you're certain the engine has died.

No. It's just not using the engine. It's moving because the electrics are pushing it along. And they don't make any noise.

It's got a CD player in it.

This is going to rock so hard it oughta hurt.

I drove the Escort back, Jim drove the Prius - and he could hear me playing the CD in the Escort as he went by. Eh, it's the live stuff from the Cowboy Bebop boxset. Of course I was playing it loud.

So he drafts me, to the side and rolls the window down. Share the love, neh?

Laundry ready to be packed - and I am taking a long hot bath to shake off the heart-racing terror of today.

Tomorrow AM - donuts, cold milk and we're on our way!

Mmmm.. well nice rental though! Beats the HECK out of the crap thing we got in TX from National.

Makes me want to call up the Budget offices here and rent one for a day, just to test-drive!

Congrats. How long were you on the waiting list for that thing? Last I heard the average at most dealerships was 6 months to a year.

We got our Prius after driving a car that used to stall at intersections - used to take a minute for me to remember, "Oh yeah."

It's a great little car.

(And ideal for sneaking around at night in that "I'm on a secret mission" kind of way.)
