kyburgCedric has found a placement for the kitty. And all is good. One of the rescue groups found either a foster or a permanent home in Marina Del Rey for her (we should be so lucky) - before she has her litter, before anything worse happened to her - on and on.

The farmer's market had "donut" peaches in for the first time this season - ever seen one before? The grower told me these are the genetic stock all of the modern peaches are taken from, very Asian and a trip to eat - you can eat them like a donut, just ignore the center. They're white peaches on top of it all, and sweet as can be.
Nummers. That, and the okra is in. Jim does better bread pudding than anyone I know, but I top him on fried okra. Go figure. I think I'm going to invest in a little deep-fryer - the stovetop method is very wasteful as well as hard to control, temp-wise.
I've heard back from Anime-Expo - the voucher system is there as a convenience to out of town guests. *tweak* Riiiight. I wrote back. I don't know if I'm going to hear back or not, but being blatantly lied to is bad juju. So there.
I'm not going to Anime-Expo this year unless someone needs me to be there for something. Which includes the AMV dinner Thursday night.
