Some quick notes -

I'm not surprised Chicago didn't get the nod for the Olympics - anyone with a sense of fairness would have gotten it at 'the US has hosted HOW many of them in the last 20 years now?'
North America - Canada too, let's not forget - buttload.
South America - *crickets*
Right. Hey, Beijing made it. It's the Olympics - not What Not To Wear. It's going to be a RIDE.
And Chicago? Made Saint Louis host it when they couldn't get it together in time. It's okay.
Today, the boys came to see me at work for lunch - we're taking the opportunity to teach the days of the week by associating which of us are home by saying 'Friday, you and Dad have the day off, but Mama has to work...Saturday, we ALL have the day off...and Sunday, Mama and you have the day off and Dad has to work!" (This often is met with 'stay hooooome Mama/Daddy - ^^;)
Lunch with me at work on Friday is McDonalds and then See's Candy for free samples. And then a quick trip around the office - he is VERY popular!
Homework also very popular - who knew? This is one focused kid when you get him pointed in a direction that appeals - like a laser. The kick is not allowing him to get discouraged or overwhelmed - lots of helping, showing and praise. The September work is done, on to October!
Have also taken to hugging him saying "mine, mine, mine, no one can has!" This is met with great approval.
This weekend, there are festivals to attend, museums to visit and just plain fun in general - also, a baked chicken. I think Sunday.
I've also began work on the family reunion in KY next June (oh dear GHADs, the reviews on the hotels are hysterical as in bad, AAA help me!), the holiday season and so on.
The readoption paperwork is back from the agency and I've tasked Jim with filing it today - after the kid gets up from his nap. And I mean it. It doesn't get done today, it'll be a week - count on it.
And I want that court date before the end of the year. Yes, yes I do.
But now, I flee into the wilds of the Los Angeles freeway system. Hooray.
