Let's talk about gifting. It's a tough economy, people are out of work - I'm hip.

I have a long history of making most of my gifts. With the time to spare, I love crafting. The best Christmases are homemade, after all!

But also, it also tends to be green - and you can repurpose things exceptionally well this way. Here, let me explain.

One of the nicest things you can make for someone who has a fireplace (and for everyone for their disaster kits) is firestarters.

Another one is refilling pasta sauce jars.

I also like haunting the thrift stores for coffee mugs, making trail mix into gift bags, stuffing into the mugs. Everyone loves them. And the mugs are easy to come by.

Hate that old windbreaker? BAG IT.

Keep it simple. Look for a way through. Make someone's life easier - not complicate your own or theirs.
