Actually, it's good for a lot of issues -

Takes less than a minute. (Took less than 16 seconds, I checked.)

On the phone tree, press in order:
Press #5 for "Hot Issues."
Press #1 for Same Sex Marriage.

You really ought to listen to all of the "hot issues" and vote in on them as well. I'm just saying.
For example, he's asking about that "alien driver's license" thing - the one that he made a campaign out of thwarting? I'm not for it. One, the INS is the only authority when it comes to illegal immigration, go fund it - any other legislation fails the constitution test and will get tossed out. So you want people to get driver's licenses. Ohhhhkay. Good idea - but - if they come in and get this new class of license, good. But they don't have to. See the note about the INS. If they get it, all well and good. But there is no incentive to do so - and no incentive for us either, as the DMV or regional law can't use those records. Only if the INS can - and they don't have the cash to build a system to share the databases. No, really.
Why do we keep having this discussion again? Oh yeah, right. The INS can't do its job again. You remember, right? This is the agency that asked all of the folks from "suspect nations" to show up in their offices to be registered last year - and when the law-abiding, want-to-be-good-Americans-someday did that, they slapped a bunch of them in jail because their paperwork wasn't pristine enough for them. Yeah, that'll work twice. No, the INS can't investigate anything that won't come to them under their own power. *face palms* I feel so safe.
So go make a phone call. Make a couple.
