Date: 2004-07-16 07:57 am (UTC)Basically, this vote says the price of international aid is allowing American soldiers to do whatever they want, wherever they want, disregard the rules of war and the Geneva Convention. Given the Iraqi prison scandal, it's hardly beyond the realm of possibility that our soldiers may commit acts of barbarism. Since when does America get to play by one set of rules while defining another set for the rest of the world?
