Tell you what -
Jul. 16th, 2004 07:34 amThere's a whole lotta blogging going on this weekend.
theferrett,
zoethe,
shadesong are doing blogathons this weekend.
yuki_onna is doing one next weekend.
And I am completely out of funds.
Tell you what.
I'm going to go put a long list of things up on eBay. Likely to include a pair of shoes, you pick.
Whatever sells through the end of
yuki_onna's blogathon, gets divided amongst the four of you.
I'm sure you don't want the X-Box and Gamecube games I bought someone for Christmas, who had neither game machines.
I've got a first edition of the Black Stallion. I may part with it.
And so on.
If I can make it work, I may join
yuki_onna, but it would require me to post remotely at least part of the day Saturday as I have to go visit my friend Marian that day. I promised.
Who would I ask you to sponsor?
I've had a soft spot for these folks since I first learned on them in the bad old days of S & H fandom in the seventies. (Yes, while it was still on the network.)
Children of the Night. Anyone remember CopCon, back in 1983 in Claremont? Please, if you do - remember me kindly.
Yeah, I ran a convention. We took in $350 for charity, and these guys got it.
They've never forgotten me. I've never forgotten them, either.
I'll see what I can do.
