Dear Yulegoat -
Nov. 22nd, 2011 02:15 pmThank you so much for doing this for me. I really really appreciate it.
You've gotten some OLD favorites of mine - any one of the three is an old friend.
So. Maybe you should know a few things, neh?
Star Trek: TOS? I go back nearly to when it was originally on the air - and my older brother probably participated in the letter writing campaign to get it a third season. I definitely was present in the letter writing campaign to name the first Space Shuttle Enterprise. Just so you know.
The reboot NEVER HAPPENED. The first movie? Ditto. (The last TNG movie? Yup. That too. Never happened.)
I've been doing fan fic in this genre since I was - 15? Younger? That's 35 years. Surprise me - and the best way to do that is NOT to write the big 3, unless you must.
(If you didn't get that as a match? Pardon my dust.)
Quantum Leap?
I, uh. Hmm. Stood outside NBC in Los Angeles in 1993 and protested when they cancelled it. I'd, uh. Visited the set more than once. Knew Harriet Margulies. Stuff like that.
So fear not. You don't have to explain a lot. Don't look at things too closely. ;)
Escaflowne? You got that one?
Baby. It's a big, huge world you get to play in. GO NUTS. You'll have a ball.
And thank you again. Big, warm hugs to you.
