And all your missing emails. They finally cut loose with them. Everybody had a backlog of some kind. Everyone. Even me.
Gmail was just not a good tool for LJ comments - not for me. I was reminded of that this morning, thankee.
I wonder what the PS/MAPP class will think of LJ when I inflict it on them.
It's also time to get the plans for JTAF on the boards.
Getting back payments on lawsuits from working at SuperShuttle very good. I'll be getting those for another two years. *sighs* I really could have used the money when Cliff was still alive, guys. That's why I took that second job. *kicks can*
So at least part of it is being spent on the DVD of "Blazing Saddles."
August has been the month of disaster for me, historically. This was the month in 1993 when Cliff got hurt; it was the month a year later he reinjured...in 1995, had all the strokes and heartattacks, 1996, the amputations and dialysis...1998, came home from travelling cross-country, and died in September of that year.
I walk a little slower in August, and look over my shoulder often. Jim is getting his cholesterol checked again today. Hope everything is well with
I also heard something last night that almost stopped me from breathing - the social worker running the MAPP classes is going to be scheduling our home visits next Wednesday.
OMG, it's going to happen. Hullo, Jim, wakey-wakey! We gotta get this house done...
Work! Yup!
Not just gmail

Re: Not just gmail
Date: 2004-08-03 08:16 am (UTC)However, LJ's mail server happily sent more there this morning - reconfirming my original decision was the correct one.
At least I knew of all those responses when they happened...I don't know that anyone else has gotten that lucky.

Date: 2004-08-03 10:31 am (UTC)I used to work at their nationwide reservation center here in Phoenix, and believe me when I say the Cantina ain't got nothing on that place as a wretched hive of scum and villainy. (And *without* the cool band to provide background music.)
I could have lived without knowing one of their rehires was once caught masturbating on the floor, or knowing more than a few people were snorting lines in the bathroom.
There were a few good people there, mind you, and I rarely if ever had problems with the dispatchers or drivers, or even the customers. But I got so fed up with fixing others' mistakes ... UGH.
Hell, they had to have classes on basic spelling for the reservation agents, because they'd make mistakes like spelling Pennsylvania as "PENSIVAA"!
UGH UGH UGH
