This man is running for President.
(Check the party affiliation.)
Actually, it appears the whole site might be useful - check out Vote-Smart.Org.
We've had the DNC, now we get the RNC. Run DMC, Run.
No, I'm not watching it. I'm hearing plenty about it - but as my Mamma always told me. Ya gotta ignore most of what you hear during the conventions. Yuppa yup.
In other news, rattled. Very worn, stressed out - and got very little sleep last night after Jim got home. He'd had a high-water-mark BAD night, woke me up and scared the cats getting in. I understand the usefulness of working in challenging environments (you either learn to deal with them - and get better at it - or die trying) - but right now, I could use less stress and more resolution. But he works in health care - and carries licensure that requires him to advocate for patient safety - and his environment is "just do it, ya putz."
He can't. They'd yank his license. But alone in the middle of the night on weekends, there is no supervisor in the department - so what do you do?
He had to explain to a doctor why he couldn't shoot some films of a knee. The patient was pregnant and he couldn't shield her adequately. Jim said it was if the doctor had never heard of radiation safety before.
So he took the two views he could do, and that seemed to satisfy him.
That wasn't the bad one. It got worse.
This morning, he called his supervisor (it's Jim's day off) and it was agreed that the weekend shifts need a supervisor on-call, and they set it up for next weekend. There!
But we're whipped. Tonight is the last MAPP meeting - and it's a potluck, so we're cooking most of the day to get ready. (Me? Mine's in the crockpot, getting Good and Tasty.)
Want a vacation.
