But it's such a good tired, I'm not complaining.

You expect people to be nice - or at least, personable - based on what they blog.

The nice surprise is when they are wonderful.

Thanks for a lovely evening, guys. I didn't miss having the music or television on once.

Crystal may not be able to make it again, but I'm sure the rest of you can - soon, I hope!

I need to devise something I can put in the oven and have ready when people show up - I spent too much time prepping food and not talking. *nods*

[livejournal.com profile] being_homeless and [livejournal.com profile] apositivevoice will be back tomorrow night for dinner - I sure hope they have a wonderful day tomorrow.

It's a bummer having to be the adult and working - but tonight, it's a good life.

Cool! Let me know as soon as plans gell - though I'd wonder at a path that would take you through Los Angeles....

well, the route doesn't take us directly through LA, but like an hour & a half away. we have to make it a couple day trip because of the baby anyway, so a slight detour for the sake of seeing friends isn't a huge deal.

Thanks Donna and Jim for a great evening. Good food, good company, good coffee...could a person ask for more?

I'm reminded of the parties Truman Capote threw...where everyone didn't leave until 9:00 AM the next day. Nobody wanted to go home!

Try a strata. You put it together the night before, and refridgerate it. Then, when company comes, you just pop it into the oven.

Here's a whole list of them: http://search.allrecipes.com/recipe/quick.asp?q1=strata&lnkid=65&x=0&y=0

Traditionally breakfast or brunch food. But I see no reason you can't serve it for dinner. ;)
